When the opportunity arises to be photographed by Walter Grio and also help raise money for The Shoot For Change Scholarship at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre, you jump at the opportunity. I have been inspired by this amazing creative talent since I first heard of his, Shoot for Change in 2006. With Shoot For Change, you donate all the money directly to a nonprofit organization of your choice for an amount that is negotiated. You get the tax benefit of making a donation to a nonprofit organization. It was such a genius way to volunteer productive time. He was getting to do something he loved and was helping a great cause too. His story is a part of the inspiration which led me to determine a way to give to a cause/organization that was important to me, support the business community all while doing things I love to do. 4 years later, The Hope Initiative is finally getting ready to happen. On December 10, 2011 Shoot for Change hit the $100,000 Milestone!
